- Boil water in a pan, put in some apple cider vinegar. Cool, place a towel on your head and bend over the pan.

-Mix and cook 2 or 3 tea bags with dried basil for 10 to 20 minutes and after that apply on face and acne with a cotton ball.


- Take out cucumbers juice and apply the juice on the acne with the help of cotton wool pads.


- Take one tablespoon of brown sugar and two tablespoons of white sugar wet a little and rub face once in a day.


- Apply some toothpaste on the acne or pimples. Apply it on the acne spots only and do not apply it skin.

General Health Questionnaire Thai Version And The Thai Mental Health Questionnaire

Objective : The purpose of this study was to develop the manual for self detection of depression in the Thai elderly.

Methodology: The quasi experimental field research (Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design) was implemented. The samples consisted of 1,390 elderly people in 35 communities from 4 districts surrounding Siriraj hospital.

Result: 1. The internal consistency reliability of the nine criterias of the manual for self detection of depression in the Thai elderly range from .84 to .94. The validity tested by epidemiological methods, discloses that sensitivity was 82.14%, specificity was 97.56%. There was statistically significant difference of incidence of depression between the study and control group (P<.0001); self referred cases amounted 86.7% and 9.8% respectively. These data reflects the effectiveness of the experimental manual. Regarding, the comorbidity of depression, there were difference in pattern of drug and alcohol abuse, suicidal idea and quality of life after the experiment. These findings indicated decreasing pattern of self medication for depression, suicidal idea and improvement of quality of life in the study group.
